Look 2 RUSTY CONSTRUCTION
During my 6 months journey in Antwerp, I was inspired by the beautiful statue green and the rusty metal construction in Antwerp CS. So I explored the way of transforming the rusty dye into textile. To create the contrast between soft and hard texture.
This dyeing process requires metal sheets. The metal sheets take about 4 weeks to get rusty so this process is very limited. The rusty dye is only washable with hand-wash.
This T shirt is made of 100% cotton with two pockets in the front. It has hand made pleats to simulate the stone texture.
I made a necklace out of the real rusty copper piece. I dyed the WDKA tote bag with rusty metal and copper.
